Hi, just started on Cimzia as some of you know. I've got serious skin irritation, everything itching and have had to cut all the labels out of my clothes these past couple of days. Rheumy nurse says it happens on other anti-tnfs and to try anti histamines. Anyone else had this problem? And how did you treat it?
Thanks.

Sally

I have tried two anti-tnf's and I did get rashes and itching with both of them. My GP prescribed some anti-histimines (non drowsy) and they did help enormously. I would speak to your GP and see what they suggest. It is most irritating (pardon the pun) and as it gets warmer you will suffer more so best to get it under control now. I also used calomine cream and this helped cool the area down.

Hope you find some relief soon.

Jackie

Hi Sally

I think ALL these drugs can affect us. I'm on MTX but take 3 different lots of antihistamines to counteract the horrid itches!
Hope it soon calms down - ask for some locoid ointment as well. Incidentally, the pills wereprescribed by GP.
